Campaigns
At SEIZE, we believe real change happens when communities come together to take action. From time to time SEIZE supports campaigns to empower people to challenge the status quo and mobilize for a democratic economic system that prioritizes equity, cooperation, and sustainability.
Through campaigns, we amplify grassroots movements and provide the tools and networks necessary to build collective power. Together, we are laying the foundation for an economy that works for everyone, not just the few.

Together, we can take control of our campus food services and create a model that benefits everyone.
Support the FedUp Concordia Campaign: Demand Good Food for All! 🍎
Tired of low-quality, overpriced food on campus? So are we, and so are the overwhelming majority of Concordia students!
In November of 2024, following a dedicated campaign by student organizers, 83% of Concordia students expressed a clear desire to rid the campus of multinational corporations like Aramark, and to mandate the Concordia Student Union to co-develop a healthy, ethical, and community-driven food alternative!
Want to learn more about the FedUp campaign? You can follow them on instagram, and you can read a bit about them here!
🚫 Why We're FedUp:
- Aramark has a history of using prison labor to cut costs—unacceptable for our campus.
- The food quality is poor across all Aramark services, from student cafeterias to catered events.
- The administration knows the issues, but no real steps have been taken to improve food on students' terms.
🌱 The Solution: We believe Concordia deserves better. That’s why we're a part of a coalition to push for a community-owned, student-led social enterprise to replace Aramark when its contract ends in Winter 2026. With local alternatives, we can serve nutritious food, empower students, and support the local economy—just like the University of Winnipeg did. The Equi-table Consortium is being developed for this exact purpose!
